What time is it? It’s CHRISTMAS TIME!

It’s that time of the year once again, where every one is happy and in good spirits. As well as a time to remember, the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. It’s CHRISTMAS once again! Well here’s how my Christmas went down.

On Christmas Eve, we started the day preparing for the meals to be served by lunch and dinner, well I assembled the Lasagna we’re going to serve for our relatives. Then by lunch time, we spent our Christmas lunch with my relatives on my mother’s side of the family. Well, there were a lot of food aside from our Lasagna, there were also Kare-Kare, my cousin‘s Chicken, barbeque, and a lot more with softdrinks to compliment. We also spent time with my cousins and relatives After lunch, we exchanged gifts. I got some cash, as well as a new 4GB USB that looks like Master Yoda from Star Wars and a new security wallet which were very nice.

Afterward a short stay at home, we went on the road again, this time down south to Batangas to spend Christmas Eve with my relatives on my father’s side of the family. After dinner, We spent a lot of time with my cousins and relatives there. Well, I was tired during that point, that I fell asleep. When they woke me up, it’s Christmas Day! and we went down for our Noche Buena. After a short rest, we went back on the road to return home. As soon as we arrived at around 4am, we made up time to sleep. We woke up in the middle of the day, where I came out and started greeting every one through text and on Facebook and Twitter, then we spent a nice lunch with the whole family. Later, we went for the Christmas mass at around 4pm. After the mass, we headed to the nearby Starbucks branch where FINALLY, I got to complete the 17 stickers needed for the 2013 Starbucks Planner.

As we arrived home, my younger brother’s girlfriend as well as her younger brother came in and brought with them their XBOX 360 Kinect. Where we got to try out some of the games, including Kinect Sports. I had fun playing the Baseball part of the game, but I suck at Bowling. Also, I got to play one game of NBA 2K13.

Well, that caps of my Christmas 2012,  I hope you had a great time on Christmas Day with your families and friends. May your lives be blessed with the bless and Hey! We’re one week away from ushering in 2013! I’ll leave you with this.

Yesterday was December 21, 2012 and the date rings a bell, as some people believe on that day, the WORLD will come to an END as predicted by the Mayans (which they categorically denied) and popularized by the movie “2012” which was released in 2009. Yet, today is December 22, nothing bad happened, no doomsday scenarios happened, and we‘re all alive and well, and I’m here to share what happened on that day.

Well, before Thomasians head for the Christmas break. One special event happens here, a time for celebration and joy, that is the annual Paskuhan where thousands of Thomasians as well as our friends studying elsewhere and families converge in UST for a day filled with the spirit of Christmas.

The day began with our class Christmas party in the morning, where we had games like Eat Bulaga’s Pinoy Henyowhere unfortunately, me and my partner lost causing us to do a  dance, and I get to show them my version of PSY’s record-breaking hitGangnam Style. Other games include the newspaper dance and stop dance, as well as our traditional singing contest among the ladies. Then we had lunch, as well as a rafflewhere the grand prize was a Jansport bag. Unfortunately for me, I never won in the raffle, even the minor prizes I did not won at least one of them. Then came the exchange gifts. For me, I gave a book to my blockmate who I drew up with in the lottery. Then on my end, I also received a book from my blockmate. The book is entitled “Win Like Lin, a story about Jeremy Lin, the “Linsanity” story in New York, and the keys to his success. Of course, I always appreciate an underdog story since I can relate with it on my own life. As for most of my life, I have been the underdogand I always have to win my way to the top.

After the Christmas party, I took a rest drinking a cupof Coffee Jelly Frapuccino in a nice place around campus. Then I went along with one of my former mentors in UST for dinner and went around campus to see people aroundand settledby the field for the Paskuhan concert with some of my friends from another section. The highlight of each Paskuhan is the fireworks display, of course UST has a distinction as the Pyromusical Capital of the Philippines”. The fireworks lasted for around 6 minutes, it wasshorter than previous years, but it was still a sight to see. Then after, we went our own ways. Before I went out of campus, I got to see my high school friends (some of which I haven’t seen for a very long time) and got time to catch up with them for a bit. Afterwards, I went out of campus, for home. Despite having a great timeat this year’s Paskuhan, one regret I had is that I never got to spend a time of the night with my blockmates. But, I’ll make it all up to them as soon as we come back next year.

Now the Christmas break has begun, a break from schoolwork and a time to spend the holidays with my family and friends. For now, I can rest, sit back and enjoy this festive time of the year. To my blockmates, until then, see you next year!

The holiday season has arrived.

Winding down the year.

Here we are, we bid good bye to November and we are now on the final month of every year. December, and Christmas is right around the corner. The temperature is going down here in Manila, and were seeing hot afternoons and cool nights. Call this bipolar weather. Cool nights mean that waking up in the morning will be always be a challenge, especially you’re sleeping well in cooler weather. A full month for the second semester is in the books.

Well, I have accepted a lot of leadership roles in some of the activities/projects we will have soon. Thus giving me opportunities to prove myself and lay all my cards on the table to deliver one great push. Well as they quote “With great power comes great responsibility.I’m all in to put everything on the line for the success of each endeavor I will pursue. It has been a roller-coaster of a semester already, and it’s not going to get pretty as each day rolls along. Like I said before, I keep my head down, focused and ready to strike and come in each and every day with a positive mindset.

Well, in two weeks it’s going to be the CTHM College Week, and it will be filled with a ton of activities for our college, and in three weeks time, it’sthe annual Thomasian christmas party called “Paskuhan, leading up to the Christmas break which is shorter than previous years. Christmas parties are being prepared everywhere, especially in a country with the longest Christmas celebration in the world. Christmas lights and decorations are up at homes, roads, and other places. Well for Christmas, I do not hope for a lot of Christmas gifts, but if I get lucky to get things on my wishlist, then I’ll be happy about it. I’m not really a gift giving person, but on exchange gifts, I give my very best to give a great gift to the person who I picked to give a gift for Christmas.

Another year is coming to an end, time really flew by fast. I really hope for something great to cap the year off in high spirits.

Winding down the road.
